Low Blood Pressure
Everyone always talks about high blood pressure, but there are many people that also have low blood pressure.
Low blood pressure is of course when the blood pressure that is flowing through the arteries or veins is lower than normal but with low blood pressure, the flow is not high enough to send enough oxygen and nutrients to the heart and other vital organs like the kidneys and brain. When this occurs, the organs do not work properly and can undergo irreversible damage. Low Blood Pressure SymptomsThere are some signs or symptoms that you may have low blood pressure. Since the decreased flow of blood to vital organs is one of the main problems with this condition, the signs or symptoms of lower blood pressure involve such things as the brain not getting enough oxygen and nutrients which would cause a person to become light-headed, dizzy and even sometimes faint. Many times dizzyness happens when a person stands up quickly from a sitting position. This happens because when a person is sitting the blood settles in veins of the lower portion of the body such as the legs and feet, upon standing the blood is still in the lower portion of the body giving the person a light-headed feeling from lack of oxygen in the brain. Everyone that sits and stands up has this happen in his or her body; however, those with low blood pressure show signs dizziness whereas a person with normal blood pressure does not have any effect. Low blood pressure is not always the same for each person. Some may notice signs of low blood pressure when their blood pressure is 90/50 while others that normally have a blood pressure of 130/80 may notice signs of low blood pressure if their blood pressure reaches 100/60. Low Blood Pressure can even cause chest pains. This can be in the way of angina or a heart attack. When there is not enough blood and nutrients being supplied to the heart because of low blood pressure this symptoms can and do occur. Kidneys when they are not supplied enough oxygen and nutrients due to low blood pressure they can stop eliminating waste. When this happens, the blood can have a higher level of urea and creatinine levels. Shock can also occur with low blood pressure. This is because the vital organs such as the lungs, liver, kidneys, brain, and heart are not being supplied with enough blood, oxygen, and nutrients. Normal blood pressure for adults should be around 90/60 to 120/80, anything below the systolic blood pressure, which is the top number and anything below diastolic blood pressure, which is the bottom number is considered to be low blood pressure.
