Testosterone Options

Testosterone, a naturally ocurring hormone, is a member of the steroid family called androgens. Sometimes called the "king of hormones", testosterone is certainly the most important hormone when it comes to sexual characteristics in men. While increasing testosterone is the big objective from a sex drive standpoint, there are many different testosterone options to choose from.

Testosterone Enanthate

Testosterone enanthate is an oil based injectable steroid, designed to release testosterone slowly from the injection site (depot). Primoteston, also known as testosterone enanthate, is used to treat males with a low level of the naturally produced male hormone. While testosterone enanthate strongly promotes the regeneration process, it delivers the most brutal gains of all steroids. Testosterone Enanthate (TE) is often used interchangeably with Testosterone Cypionate in the doctor's office and in the backrooms of gyms.

Testosterone Cypionate

Testosterone Cypionate is a single-ester, long-acting form of testosterone. The name-brand of testosterone cypionate available in the United States is called "Depo-Testosterone" which is suspended in cottonseed oil. Testosterone cypionate is a long acting ester of testosterone with strong androgenic and anabolic effects. Testosterone Cypionate is the most popular and most used testosterone. American athletes have a long a fond relationship with Testosterone cypionate. The effect of Depo-Testosterone Cypionate is sustained longer in the body than anabolic steroids. Testosterone cypionate should not be used interchangeably with testosterone propionate because of differences in duration of action. We speculate that if available worldwide, it would be a more acceptable injection for most hypogonadal men than TE or testosterone cypionate.

Testosterone Propionate

Testosterone Propionate is a highly anabolic as well as androgenic steroid. Testosterone Propionate is the shortest estered testosterone currently available. Testosterone propionate is a common oil-based injectable testosterone. Testosterone Propionate This is an esterified form of the base steroid testosterone, much like enanthate, cypionate and sustanon 250. The use of testosterone propionate and estrogenic substance in treatment of essential hypertension, angina pectoris and peripheral vascular disease is becoming widely practiced.

Females and Testosterone Levels

While testosterone is often called "the male hormone", and increasing testosterone levels is the big objective in men from a sex drive standpoint, it's as natural to women as estrogen. In fact, testosterone is one of six important hormones produced by the female reproductive organs.

In males, testosterone is a vital sex hormone that plays an important role in the development of puberty and most often its decrease is associated with aging requiring testosterone replacement therapy. While it's true that testosterone is the hormone of sexual desire in both men and women, many men suffer needlessly because their testosterone level is never checked, the wrong test is ordered, or they are in the dark concerning their testosterone options.
