Beginners Workout

Jumping into a workout routine can be daunting, but it is only as hard as you make it. There are many different things you can do, and a beginners workout can be rather simple.

You don’t want to do too much right away, especially if you have been neglecting your body. Of course, you're not going to be able to do a strenuous routine right away, but you do want to be sure you are doing something to get your heart moving.

If you are severely overweight, you may want to get advice from your doctor before you begin. If you have blood pressure issues, it might not be wise to start exercising until that problem is under control.

Walking

One of the most common beginners workout is walking. Anyone can walk, even if you only walk around the block, or even just to your mailbox. You want to walk a little faster than is comfortable. If you take slow stroll you will burn some calories, but you want to walk a little faster to get more out of it. This type of beginners workout is recommended because it is easy on the body, and almost anyone can do it no matter where they live. You have to make time for it, but you should always make time for yourself.

How about a home gym?

Seen the ads lately on television? They make it look so simple don't they? Total gym this...Bowflex that...it seems like every other week something new pops up. If you aren’t interested in walking, ever thought of a home gym system? Some of it even folds up if you don’t have a lot of space. A treadmill is a great idea, and you should start off with whatever you can do. Your beginners workout should be short, but it should also grow rapidly. Add time as you go and as you begin to be more comfortable with exercise.

Get Pumped

You can also add weight lifting to your beginners workout, but make sure you know what you are doing. If you don’t lift the weights properly, you run the risk of injury. The instructions for safe lifting are all over the Internet, so that shouldn’t be too hard to find. You also want to know how to breath properly so that you get the most out of your beginners workout. We all have to start somewhere, and if that means only a few minutes at a time when you begin, that’s fine.
